Taking the necessary steps to decolonise education.
For Grand Challenges, the team behind Decolonising Knowledge wanted to research the extent to which BAME people and women are represented within the University of Exeter curriculum with the aim to recommend polices that the university can put into place to encourage decolonisation of the curriculum. Education is a crucial means of ensuring that decolonisation can become a demystified concept for individuals who may feel hesitant to speak on the subject. It is our goal to make sure that the University of Exeter is held responsible for the claims that they make regarding their stance on decoloniality as we uncover to what extent they have acted. Finding numerous groups and research into decolonising Exeter’s curriculum, we wanted to use this website as a platform for your voices to be heard and to provide information in an accessible and reader-friendly way.
